I have to admit that I absolutely adore Emily Tilton. She has written several series of books that I own every one and I can say that I've never met a Ms. Tilton book I've never liked! Leo's command is the next in the series of "The Institute." While you don't have to read the prior books, it will only improve your understanding of what the Institute is and what takes place there. The dean of The Institute is Abigail, who also has her own book in the series. Don't worry...all of the prior books are worth the read!This book, like the others in the series, is BDSM-heavy. The heaviest. If you don't like books that contain spanking, caning, paddling, anal, vaginal, humiliation, unprotected sex, dubious consent, FF and MF action, female harnesses with very long dildos and nightgowns in 3 different colors, you will not like this book. Reviews from people who don't understand the content first only put authors at a disadvantage when it comes time for your review.
The Institute series is extremely graphic and is sometimes hard to read since the submission of a recruit is the ultimate goal. This is done through all of the items I listed above, but the women are all there of their own free will. The difference is that some have agreed to have their memories erased prior to admission to The Institute. These women have fantasies that they are forced into submission and so losing their memory gives them the freedom to enjoy it without the baggage of their past. Once the recruit has completed their training, they are sold to a wealthy individual (man or woman) who will be her master/mistress. Reading book 1 will help you to understand this entire process, but this book does a good job of giving the basics.
YIELD - POSSIBLE SPOILER HERE:
I'm really torn about how I feel about the ending. On one hand, I think of it as a HEA (I actually cried), but on the other, there is a condition to it. I think that all of the characters involved in the book are satisfied with the ending, though, and to me, that's a HEA. So, get out the tissues and keep reading.

I can highly recommend Emily Tilton's books and this one is no exception. I can hardly wait for the next one!

I voluntarily received an arc copy through Booksprout for my honest review.
Kristin is a 23 year old unsatisfied until one day she peeks in on a man doing unmentionable things with a female intrigued she goes home but sees the man again in a cable van. Only this time she gets his van number and calls the cable company.
Leo the man she saw works at the institute training women. He really has no friends or family and lives for his job. When Kristin finds out what Leo does she agrees to also be like the other women that go to the institute. While in the institute Leo finds himself falling in love with Kristin. Will he allow her to be sold to another man.
You see Leo doesn't do love but the fact that he fell for her is amazing if only he claims her.
This story probably won't be for everyone. It involves spanking some bdsm to name a few but it is also sort of a romance . I really enjoyed the story of Leo and Kristin and have often wondered about him in past books.

Highly erotic, many turn-ons. This author is the master of the "I don't want to be submissive...unless you make me...and then I'll love it."
The institution is a place where girls learn to please a rich man for a yr .the girl gets a lot of money and special sub training .it is a good series but I don't really get into the "i love you but we will not be monogamous.don't understand that part.
This is the best of the Institute Series so far.
She knows what she sees through the window is what she needs in her life. Little does she know where that takes her when she calls the cable company.
I loved the breaking scene and the happy ending
I love Emily Tilton's books. This was my favorite of the four "Institute" books (though "An Extreme Marriage" was darned close). In this one, the Institute is much more fleshed out than in previous books - I loved hearing all about how the girls were trained - the psychology, the different types of personalities, even the difficulties of matching up Masters with concubines. There was a whole lot of steaminess in this book, too - very explicit sex, lots of anal, lots of punishments, some F/f, and certainly not least, enough love to make this romantically kinky girl very happy. The whole series explores the ideas of submission and how different women view it and struggle with it and ultimately embrace it. I hope Ms. Tilton writes more of these!
